MUSEUM OF VISUAL POETRY

The Museum of Visual Poetry„ opened its internet doors in May 1999. On the quest for new expressions in digital art you can find a labyrinth of pictures and sounds unified through the internet. The artist’s intention is not to present just isolated works of art without any connecting lines but to deepen their concepts in an intuitive manner. So they achieve a more global goal. And that leads then to a form of experience (making use of the internet and its wide range of ways of transformation) that no result is final and definitive but is an experimental forum open to changes and continous metamorphoses.

Perhaps the only definite goal is to leave behind the passive, distant and safe role of the consumer of internet pictures and thus to overcome the coldness of that new medium. The movement and atmosphere of the museum evokes a series of actions in the brain which repeats itself like a reflection of our own behaviour.

The museum is open also to the work of other artist, always on a non-commercial basis.

All works of art which you find in the Museum of Visual Poetry (collages of photos, animations, sounds) are original works of Jose Santos.
